![]() Also I was only able to receive over 300Mbps when outdoor, open areas. Over the next few days, on average I am getting download speed on average ~290 Mbps, never once close to the advertised 1Gbps. Even n66/n71 band, I used and the highest I have ever recorded was 378Mbps down, 17Mbps up. Imo much accurate kesa sa and .Įxperience on Telus 5G network (west coast) I recently upgraded my internet to 1.5Gbps Fiber Optic and my laptop is not getting more than 100Mbps down even plugged in via Ethernet based on results. New 1.5Gb internet, MSI Gaming Laptop results is 30-100Mbps down and 230 Mbps Up, Dell work laptop registers 280-300 down and 120-150 up. I can force myself to lose internet by running and using 1Gbit/s up and down. It works, but now I have a problem in OPNsense that the USB to Ethernet converter toggles between up and down and therefore I also lose internet connectivity at home every time it does. So, my solution was to add a USB to Ethernet converter to my firewall and use that as my WAN port. Unmanaged switch between Converter and Firewall I decided to try to go at it and make extra cables for my home office and I noticed that I can't seem to get speeds past 100mbps (getting like 92-94mbps down on ). So a few months ago I decided to install PoE security cameras around my home and I was left with a lot of Cat5E cables leftover. ![]() ![]() ![]() Am I missing something? Or are my cables that trash? Trying to make my own ethernet cables, but I can't get more than 100mbps. ![]()
